Following refractive surgery your recovery will depend on the type of surgery that was performed and how quickly your eye recovers from the procedure.
For most patients having refractive lens exchange or cataract surgery you should feel able to drive about one week after the procedure.
For patients who have had LASIK laser surgery you should be able to drive within two or three days of the procedure though it may be wise to plan for a week without driving.
For patients who have had LASEK laser eye surgery you may need to plan for two weeks without driving as it often takes a little longer to recover from this procedure though it may be a more suitable procedure for you if you are not suitable for for LASIK or your lifestyle would be more compatible with this procedure.
